AI Companion tutorial

Choose the companion's language

Change the language used for the companion's interface, daily messages and stories, and understand beta availability and English fallback.

The companion language controls the bot's registered interface language and the language of daily messages and stories. It is separate from the language of the website tutorials. The bot currently offers English, Filipino, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese; closed-beta testers may see a smaller reviewed list.

Change the companion language

In your private chat with @armoredkitten_bot, send /settings. Choose Choose my language, then select a language from the buttons shown. The companion confirms the selection and updates the menu. You can return to Settings and change it again later.

The picker reflects your account type. Regular users can choose from the bot's registered language list. Closed-beta testers see only languages enabled for that beta. English is always required as the fallback. If a beta tester tries a language outside the reviewed allowlist, the bot leaves the current setting unchanged and lists the available choices. Some new users may start with a supported Telegram language automatically; you can still change it in Settings.

Know what the setting changes

The choice sets the language used for bot interface text and upcoming daily encouragement messages and stories. It does not rewrite previous Telegram messages, translate existing chat history or change the website's language. Feature text without a registered translation falls back to English. The private /tutorials menu may link to a translated draft even when the bot itself cannot be switched to that locale; each draft is labeled and kept out of search until review.

If a language is missing or confusing

Use one of the options the picker shows. A website tutorial being available in a language does not mean that language is enabled in the bot or approved for the closed beta. If your beta choices look unexpected, contact the project team through the existing support route. For confusing translated text, include the specific wording and screen, but do not send private chat details. Names and personalization and Settings and privacy have separate guides.
