AI Companion tutorial

Companion privacy and data controls

Learn what the companion processes, where it stores data, and how to review, export, pause or delete your records.

Use this guide to decide what to share and where to manage your companion records. The bot is an AI companion, not a therapist or financial adviser. Its `/privacy` command gives a short summary; the sections below explain the controls and their limits.

Understand what the bot processes

The companion processes the message you send through DeepSeek to produce a response. Do not send information you would not want handled by the AI service. When photo understanding is separately enabled, Telegram delivers the photo to the bot and the bot sends it to DeepSeek with your question. The bot does not save the image bytes; it can keep your caption and an attachment marker in chat history. Read how photo understanding works before enabling it.

The bot encrypts stored profile fields and conversations at rest. This protects stored data but is not end-to-end encryption: the service must process the content to provide companion features. Wallet linking reads a public address and balance for access; it does not grant token-transfer authority. Public blockchain records cannot be made private by this bot.

Review, download or delete records

Use /memory for the saved-facts card and account summary. Treat the response as private because it can include personal settings and records. To receive a portable copy, send /export; the bot prepares a compressed JSON file in the private chat. The export guide lists its contents and safe handling steps.

Use /forget only when you intend to erase the bot's companion records. It asks you to confirm or cancel first. A one-way trial-claim fingerprint remains to prevent a deleted trial from being claimed again. Deletion cannot erase your Telegram chat, copies already processed by providers, information another person saved, or public-chain activity. See what full deletion does.

Choose notification and photo controls

Daily messages, scheduled check-ins, feature tips, conversation starters and photo understanding have separate settings or opt-ins. Turning one off does not automatically turn the others off, and the bot's /forget flow is separate from pausing messages. Open /settings and /daily to review the controls available to your account. Use the message pause guide to stop a particular outreach channel while keeping your saved records.

If a privacy or export request fails, do not assume it completed: follow the bot's retry message, and use /privacy to reopen the short summary. You can also review saved-memory controls before changing or removing one fact.
