AI companion tutorial

Chat with the companion and use suggested replies

Ask in your own words, use starter prompts and tap-to-send suggestions, and recover when a button is no longer available.

You can chat in your own words or start from the prompts on the keyboard. The companion may offer a few suggested replies after it answers; tapping one sends that reply as your next message.

Ask naturally or choose a starter

Describe the situation and the kind of help you want. Short, concrete context usually makes it easier to offer a useful next step. You can also use the companion's starter prompts for common topics such as confidence, stress, procrastination, habits and decisions.

The companion is a text-based coach for everyday encouragement and organization. Photo understanding is separate and stays off until you opt in. It does not provide voice conversations or general web search.

Use a suggested reply

After some replies, the companion may show two to four short buttons such as Done, Make it smaller, or a question to continue. Tap a button to send its text as your next message. Suggested replies are optional: type a different answer if none fits.

The bot may omit suggestions when the answer is a refusal, safety response, weekly reflection, image response or an ordinary exchange that does not need a quick choice. Missing buttons do not mean your message failed.

Recover when a button is stale

Controls can expire, belong to another conversation state, or disappear after your next message. If tapping one produces no result, send a fresh message in the private chat with the action you intended. For example, ask to reopen your goal card or explain which step you finished.

The companion applies its current access, safety and daily-limit checks to replies. If it pauses, follow the message it gives you. For more structured tasks, see goals and steps or today's checklist.
