Daily messages are optional private notes sent on a schedule you choose. They are off until you enable them. A scheduled note is not the companion detecting when you wake up, and it is separate from planned check-ins, checklist reminders, conversation starters and feature tips.
Enable daily messages
Open Settings in the private chat and tap Turn on my daily message. The companion asks for a time zone if one is not saved, then asks for a country preference if needed. A country choice helps select a relevant reviewed story; you can skip the country question. The message is enabled after the required setup is complete.
By default, a note is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. in your saved time zone and includes encouragement plus a story. You can change both settings. Story-only messages require an available reviewed story for that day's rotation.
Pause or resume messages
Return to Settings and tap Pause daily messages to stop the scheduled notes. Tap the enable control to turn them back on. Pausing daily messages does not cancel a planned check-in, turn off checklist reminders, or change your conversation-starter and feature-tip preferences; those controls are separate.
If you enabled daily messages as a prerequisite for another opt-in feature, pausing them can also make that feature ineligible to send. Its saved preference remains separate. Review the status shown in Settings if you are unsure which channel is active.
Change the time or format
Use Daily time in Settings to enter a local time such as `09:00` or `7:30am`. Use Daily content to choose encouragement and a story, encouragement only, or story only. See set the daily time and format for the full walkthrough. Confirm the displayed time zone in Settings before relying on the schedule.
If a message does not arrive
Check that daily messages are enabled, a time zone is saved, and your companion access is active. A service pause, shared message limit or temporary delivery problem can delay a note. Do not enable another scheduled feature just to replace a missed message. Check its own Settings control and try again at the next scheduled time.
